Top Acres Behavioral and Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will primarily focus on providing high-quality mental health care through a telehealth platform, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being in today's interconnected world.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing an advanced telehealth platform that facilitates seamless communication between counselors and patients. Our virtual setting allows flexibility in scheduling, primarily during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, some adaptability may be required to meet the diverse needs of our patients. As a result, our counselors are expected to maintain an organized workspace equipped with the necessary technology to provide uninterrupted services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psycho-social assessments to accurately identify patient needs and create tailored treatment plans that reflect best practices in mental health care.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based methodologies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and other relevant modalities.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a supportive environment that encourages open dialogue and personal growth among participants.
• Develop and lead psychoeducational workshops aimed at enhancing patient understanding of mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
• Offer timely crisis intervention services, effectively managing acute situations to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients on available community resources and support networks to aid in their overall recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical compliance.
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse patient population facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. We prioritize creating individualized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and responsive to the specific circumstances of each patient, enabling them to journey towards improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the state of California.
• Extensive knowledge of a broad spectrum of mental health disorders and demonstrated experience with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven expertise in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective therapeutic and treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate a trusting and respectful therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and act with sound judgment in all clinical situations.
• Proficiency in navigating electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information efficiently.
• Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly in outpatient or telehealth settings.
• Specialized training or certification in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., DBT, EMDR) is highly desirable.
• Experience facilitating group therapy sessions or psychoeducational workshops.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive salary package that includes:
