Work Environment

This role is fully onsite and requires travel to patients' homes to provide therapy services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, establishing individual goals and objectives for therapy.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training.
• Work closely with patients to understand their challenges, providing compassionate support and motivation throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain an effective patient load, managing one patient per hour to ensure sufficient time for personalized care and attention.
• Document progress and treatment methods accurately using EMR software, including WebPT, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers and specialists to create a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term wellness.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions, making adjustments as needed based on patient feedback and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily caters to patients with private medical insurance who require home therapy services due to orthopedic conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or recovering from sports-related injuries. Your role is vital in enhancing their physical capabilities and facilitating their return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and proficiency in exercise program development.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and produce clear documentation.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying current with the latest rehabilitation practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in physical therapy, preferably in an orthopedic outpatient or home care setting.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for efficient record-keeping and communication.
• Familiarity with patient education techniques and motivational interviewing skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
