Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments to understand the frequency and severity of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, and develop detailed profiles to inform treatment strategies.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual goals, preferences, and diagnoses.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to implement treatment plans, focusing on methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote active involvement in the healing process.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting interventions and treatment strategies as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding and management of each client's treatment protocol.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of mental health to enhance therapeutic methods.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and continue professional development opportunities to stay informed about advancements in mood disorder treatment and to refine clinical skills.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and contribute to efforts aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues, fostering a supportive environment for all.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably with a focus on mood disorders.
• Expertise in contemporary evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, with the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals.
• Proven success in achieving positive patient outcomes and improving quality of life for individuals experiencing mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems would be advantageous. A background in community mental health services or outpatient care settings is a plus, as this informs our comprehensive and accessible approach to mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
