Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders, ensuring accurate identification of their needs and therapeutic goals.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic practices, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to share experiences and support one another as they embark on their recovery journeys.

• Provide ongoing individual counseling sessions designed to address specific challenges and motivate positive change within each client.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention support in cases of complications arising from substance use, demonstrating calm and effective problem-solving skills.
\n
• Educate both clients and their families on addiction, recovery processes, and available community resources, enabling them to make informed decisions.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using our electronic health records (EHR) system.

• Actively participate in team meetings, engaging in case consultations and professional development efforts to continually enhance your clinical skills.

• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in the treatment of substance use disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals experiencing substance use disorders. You will work with a diverse client base, ranging from those at the early stages of seeking help to individuals in various stages of recovery. Empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach are essential in fostering trust and encouraging clients to engage in their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Illinois.
\n
• Demonstrable expertise in substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a recovery-oriented philosophy.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy within a substance use treatment context.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, marked by an empathetic and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in related software applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
