Job Title Academic Records Administrative Associate, Education Abroad, Texas Global Hiring Department Texas Global Open To All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours 40 FLSA Status Non-Exempt Earliest Start Date Immediately Position Duration Expected to Continue Location UT MAIN CAMPUS Purpose Responsible for processing study abroad credit and for recommending and implementing improvements to credit processes and technology systems. Assist students while abroad and upon return with course equivalency, credit, and grade questions and works closely with staff in Education Abroad, other education abroad offices on campus, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Office of Graduate Admissions on credit-related matters. Responsibilities Credit Processing Responsible for preparing and reviewing documents and associated forms for education abroad credit processing, auditing credit forms for accuracy, and working with students, academic departments, and international partners to resolve complex credit cases under the direction of the Academic Records Coordinator. My Credit Abroad Database Manage course equivalencies in the My Credit Abroad database and ensure accuracy and integrity of course equivalencies. Faculty, Staff, and Student Support Guide course evaluators through procedures to evaluate academic course credit earned on education abroad programs, serve as a resource for faculty and staff on course equivalencies and grade conversions, respond to requests for information from students, faculty, and staff, and provide reports and summary data as needed. Required Qualifications High school graduation or GED Three years of experience with clerical functions Proficient in MS Word and Excel Proficiency in examining, organizing and reporting information accurately Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills Proven problem‑solving skills Demonstrated initiative and judgment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience providing support in a customer service environment with excellent customer service skills High level of professionalism Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple concurrent projects Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience with clerical functions Experience working with The University of Texas at Austin policies and procedures Knowledge of UT Mainframe, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Canvas, and UT Box Knowledge of a foreign language Experience studying, living or working overseas Salary Range $47,000 Working Conditions Work in a shared office environment, around standard office conditions.
