Key Responsibilities\n

• Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments promptly, integrating theoretical knowledge of human behavior and psychosocial factors influencing treatment outcomes.

• Clinical Interventions: Engage in supportive counseling for patients and families, facilitate referrals to community services, and lead family meetings to navigate challenging medical decisions.

• Case Management: Assess and manage a diverse clinical caseload, prioritizing high-risk situations and balancing referrals while collaborating with case managers during discharge planning.

• Ethical Standards: Uphold legal and ethical standards, including duties to warn and patient rights, adhering diligently to organizational policies and procedures.

• Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation as per protocol, including interdisciplinary plans, social services progress notes, and follow-up forms.

• Training and In-Service: Provide psychosocial education to hospital staff through informative sessions like Lunch and Learns, fostering a deeper understanding of patient care issues.

• Quality Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care through monitoring and analyzing process and outcome indicators.

• Team Support: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care.

• Program Development: Participate in the development and facilitation of supportive programs, including educational initiatives for patients and families.

• Additional Responsibilities: Engage in various departmental activities such as Social Work Month and community outreach initiatives to promote awareness and support.

The primary focus of this role is on individuals experiencing substance use disorders within the detox environment, along with their families. The LCSW will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds, requiring cultural competence and a nuanced understanding of how sociocultural factors influence treatment and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or clinical setting is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual base salary for this position ranges between USD 120,000 and 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
