As a Silvi Materials Paralegal, you will tap into a broad range of legal issues, including corporate transactional work, employment & labor law, regulatory compliance, and litigation management. As a member of an in-house corporate legal team, your contributions will impact all aspects of the way we do business, from vendor relationships to merger & acquisition work. You'll be an integral part of our Legal team: Assist attorney in all aspects of corporate transactions, including drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting due diligence, and managing closing processes. Assist with corporate filings, including formation and dissolution of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. Conduct research and analysis of legal issues related to corporate law, labor & employment law, and business transactions. Gather and preserve data, documents, and information to drive the legal department's responses to discovery requests and subpoenas. Interface with outside counsel in ongoing litigation and corporate transactions to ensure Silvi is providing requested documents and support. Maintain corporate records and manage document databases. Assist with regulatory compliance, including preparing and filing regulatory reports. Draft and review legal correspondence, agreements, and other legal documents. Provide administrative support to the corporate counsel, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining electronic and paper filing systems. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Paralegal studies, or related field preferred. Certification in Paralegal studies preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a corporate legal department. Experience with LexisNexis or similar research platform required. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize and manage workload. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Expert proofreading, writing, and typing skills. Physical Demands In a typical work setting, people in this job: Stand/sit for long periods of time.
