Description

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of monitoring and transportation services for convicted WI CH. 980 correctional clients following their release and transition back to their home community. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for client and staff scheduling issues, monitoring of Transport and Monitoring Specialist hours, and arranging transportation of clients on a routine and emergency basis.

Essential Job Functions

• Schedules client activities in conjunction with multiple stakeholders as per program policy and Global Positioning System (GPS) requirements.
• Schedules random monitoring of clients on supervised release as required by the program and follows up with timely and effective communication of monitoring results to all stakeholders.
• Participates in training, implements evidence-based approaches (i.e. Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Skill Building, etc.) when interacting with clients.
• Completes service documentation on an on-going basis.
• Provides accurate service information to administration for billing purposes.
• Works closely with DHS personnel, Supervised Release Program Director, Direct Supervision Escort (DSE) Supervisor, Transport and Monitoring Specialists, and other Community Services Program staff in implanting services for sexually violent persons released by the Courts back to the community.
• Rotating on call schedule
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or at least 2 years of college coursework in the areas of human services or criminal justice preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing services to one or more of the following populations:
• Individuals who have committed sexual offenses.
• Individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
• Individuals who have a developmental disability.
• Individuals who have committed violent crimes.
• Administrative experience in the correctional or human services field preferred.
• Prior experience in scheduling preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to be on-call on a rotating schedule.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license, good driving record and proof of insurance.
• Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with staff, clients, and other parties in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong decision making abilities and self-motivated.
• High level organizational, time management and planning skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
• Proficiency in the use of automated computer systems and Microsoft Office software programs.
