This position is fully remote, providing flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while serving clients through our telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges related to weight management, obesity, and binge eating.

• Utilize standardized assessment tools to determine mental health issues and inform the selection of appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate individualized counseling sessions, focusing on the emotional and cognitive aspects of weight control, while addressing both behavioral habits and psychological factors.

• Design personalized treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs, preferences, and wellness goals.

• Educate clients on the psychological components of weight management, emphasizing self-esteem, body image, coping strategies, and stress management.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to empower clients toward sustainable behavioral change.

• Lead or co-facilitate group therapy sessions focused on weight management, creating a safe space for clients to share experiences and support one another.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure in New York State.

• Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 15 lbs.

• Strong visual acuity for effective patient evaluations and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
