Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews with clients to compile comprehensive assessments, documenting all relevant details from the initial consultation through to the end of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based modalities and therapeutic techniques.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each treatment aligns with our best practice standards.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth, adapting techniques to meet diverse client needs.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment duration, making necessary adjustments to improve therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be directly working with a diverse client population, ranging from individuals experiencing anxiety and depression to those managing more complex mental health disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in clinical settings, with demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably with experience using AVATAR or similar platforms to document client care.

• Broad understanding of mental health conditions, including co-occurring physical health issues and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and commitment to professional ethical standards.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with keen interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients.
