We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team at Atascosa Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety Center. In this full-time remote role, you will provide critical mental health services through telehealth and face-to-face sessions, designed to support individuals coping with trauma, stress, and anxiety. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and determine the most effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop essential coping strategies.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development related to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the effectiveness of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center serves a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on individuals experiencing trauma, stress, and anxiety disorders. Clients may include adults, couples, and possibly youth, depending on their unique circumstances and treatment needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state.

• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a similar role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
