Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while reaching clients in Oyster Bay, New York, and beyond through our telehealth platform. Our practice is designed to promote flexibility, catering to the diverse needs of both our clients and our clinicians. Our operational hours extend from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, providing ample opportunity for you to connect with clients at times that work best for them.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and determine effective treatment plans.

• Create and implement personalized treatment strategies focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping skills development.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide high-quality care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through the processing of trauma and help them to develop functional coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Respond to crisis situations by offering immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, practical coping strategies, and available mental health resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about advancements in trauma therapy and integrate them into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving an adult clientele with varied backgrounds and experiences, many of whom are dealing with the aftereffects of trauma, stress, and anxiety. Our patients often seek out our services for support in coping with life changes, past trauma, or overwhelming stressors. By utilizing an individualized approach, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the recovery and resilience of each client you work with.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by compassion and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.

• The ability to stay calm and effectively manage high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Behavioral Health Generalists who are open to providing therapy to couples if trained (training provided).

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a guaranteed pay structure, our benefits package includes annual salary increases, sign-on bonuses, and performance-based bonuses. Furthermore, new hires will benefit from paid orientation, and monthly professional development opportunities. We provide a flexible schedule, including weekends, no on-call requirements, and an established clinical caseload within the first 90 days after credentialing, which we fully support.
