Work Environment\n

This position allows you to work in a hybrid environment, combining the flexibility of remote interventions with the option for face-to-face therapy sessions at our outpatient office in Utica, NY. Our center is open seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing for a flexible work schedule that accommodates both client and counselor needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and tailor appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery and building client resilience.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, aiding clients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting healing.

• Collaborate actively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and support resources available within the community.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance in record-keeping.

Qualifications\n
