Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents, documenting findings and recommendations accurately.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, taking into account each client’s developmental stages, family background, and unique circumstances.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, aimed at addressing a spectrum of mental health issues.

• Engage in family therapy sessions to assist parents and caregivers in understanding their child’s needs and fostering a supportive home environment.
\n
• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated and well-rounded treatment approach for each client.
\n
• Offer prompt crisis intervention for children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and support resources as needed.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and community resources that can further their support.
\n
• Maintain compliant documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards related to mental health records and client confidentiality.
\n
• Participate actively in team workshops, training sessions, and case consultations to ensure continuous professional development and best practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and innovative treatment methods in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will create therapeutic relationships and individualized care plans that regard each client’s developmental stage and unique background, ensuring that they receive the most effective and compassionate care possible.

Qualifications\n

• Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possess valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating hands-on competency in child and adolescent mental health.

• Strong working knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.
\n
• Ability to deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to children and adolescents, both individually and in family settings.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and child-centered approach to care.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other software applications relevant to telehealth practices.

• Demonstrated capability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing teletherapy or remote counseling services.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices to better support clients who have experienced adverse childhood events.

• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary team-based care settings, enhancing collaborative treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
