Work Environment\n

As a mental health counselor at Vitality Therapy Centre, you will operate primarily in a remote setting while having access to our outpatient office as needed. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to ascertain the needs of children and adolescents, identifying both emotional and behavioral concerns.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's unique circumstances, family background, and developmental trajectory.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to effectively address anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues in young clients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and guardians with the tools and strategies necessary to create a supportive environment for their children.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients, participating in multidisciplinary case consultations as needed.

• Respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions, offering support and guidance during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their journey toward recovery.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system effectively.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. Our approach is family-centric, recognizing the importance of involving caregivers in the therapeutic process to promote lasting healing and resilience in our young patients.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.

• Active licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California, demonstrating your commitment to professional standards in mental health care.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in treatment planning.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy, with a clear understanding of developmental psychology and its application.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a genuine, compassionate approach to working with children, adolescents, and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
