As a Mental Health Counselor at Gotham Enterprises, you will primarily work in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our community health clinic. Our practice operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. You will be part of a tight-knit team of dedicated professionals, including child psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, all working toward a common goal of improving the mental health of our young clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of children and adolescents, ensuring a thorough understanding of their emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their well-being.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the developmental stages of our young clients and supportive of their family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions rooted in established practices to effectively address a spectrum of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with tools to create a nurturing environment conducive to their child’s mental health.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to care.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of our young clients.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources to empower them in their journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline communication and improve patient outcomes.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development efforts to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. The diversity of our patient population ranges from those with diagnosed mental health disorders to those experiencing temporary emotional disturbances. You will play a crucial role in guiding these young individuals and their families toward healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating a depth of knowledge in child and adolescent mental health.

• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders in children and adolescents along with proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, facilitating a conducive therapeutic relationship.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other applicable technologies.
\n
• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
