Work Environment\n

This role is rooted in a remote work setting, allowing you to provide effective therapy from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our outpatient care team. Weekday hours are primarily Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility based on the therapeutic needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments, collecting comprehensive histories that inform customized treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies concentrated on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based interventions.

• Offer therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group sessions.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide emergency crisis intervention and continuous support during trauma-related incidents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain complete and confidential documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research, techniques, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, including but not limited to personal, emotional, and situational distress. This role supports clients through their trauma recovery journeys, enhancing their coping mechanisms and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the State of New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid grasp of relevant computer applications.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting focused on trauma therapy preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
