Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gauge patients' trauma histories and evaluate their mental health status.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, coping strategies, and overall resilience-building.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, develop effective coping mechanisms, and promote emotional well-being.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in case consultations and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and immediate therapeutic assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources for enhanced support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
