Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patient histories and identify individual therapeutic needs.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on facilitating trauma recovery and promoting resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in their healing process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a well-rounded approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention, offering immediate support during moments of acute distress related to trauma.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and quality of care.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of current research and advancements in trauma therapy, integrating new methodologies into your practice as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents navigating the complexities of trauma. Your role will include providing support to individuals impacted by life-altering events and distress, helping them build coping mechanisms and overcome challenges. Fostering a safe environment where patients feel valued is essential to promoting their growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor while interacting with clients.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience in the mental health field, ideally with a focus on trauma recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
