In this remote work setting, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, working closely to deliver high-quality, integrated care. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at The Outlet, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate the unique histories of patients and tailor treatment approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans directed toward trauma recovery that emphasize resilience and empowerment.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma and mastering coping strategies for emotional regulation.
\n
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to patient care.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and emotional support for patients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about the impact of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources to foster a clearer path to recovery.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation that meets all mandated legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed practices, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

• Staying well-informed on the latest research and developments in the field of trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population served consists of youth and families dealing with the aftermath of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clinic is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can freely discuss their experiences and work toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment methods, with demonstrated experience in providing trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to effectively manage high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism and calmness.

• Fluency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for documentation and communication.

• Strong collaborative spirit to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Though not mandatory, experience in delivering specific trauma modalities, such as EMDR and TF-CBT, will enhance your candidacy. Familiarity with community resources and support systems is also beneficial for guiding clients and families effectively.
