Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the patients' trauma histories thoroughly and identify appropriate, individualized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related symptoms.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate and appropriate care.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources, helping them to navigate their recovery journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are recorded accurately.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, actively participating in discussions aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in trauma therapy, continually refining your skills to better serve your patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals coping with various trauma-related issues, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse patient population, tailor your therapeutic approaches to meet their specific needs, and guide them in their journey towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Pennsylvania.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working with trauma populations is preferred.

• Strong knowledge base concerning trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to diverse client populations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond thoughtfully in high-stress situations.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications relevant to therapy practice.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to group goals.

Preferred Experience\n
