Work Environment\n

This position is structured as a remote telehealth role, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate both patient and counselor needs. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals via virtual channels, contributing to an innovative environment that prioritizes patient well-being and team synergy. The work week typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on client availability and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on recovery, coping mechanisms, and resilience, integrating feedback from clients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that employ advanced therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate assistance and ongoing care.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and ancillary team members to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, promoting holistic treatment.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, demonstrating knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with extensive knowledge of trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly considered. Experience delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, particularly in a telehealth format, would also be advantageous.
