Field Service Technician

Your Role at Baxter The Field Service Technician I performs functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non‑Baxter products. The role also involves operating a fleet vehicle safely, providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support, and maintaining professional customer contact. Your Team The field service team works within hospital and service setting environments to repair medical devices. What You'll Do Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products. Diagnose device malfunctions and repair any malfunctioning components. Use appropriate tools for required adjustments and repairs. Provide on‑call coverage up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays, with potential customer account visits. Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds. Generate service revenue and complete required service contract activities. Safely operate a box truck or company vehicle ranging from a cargo van to a 26,000‑pound truck. What You'll Bring At least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Basic mathematical skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Preferred Qualifications Technical or trade school training. DOT physical card (assistance provided). Experience with FDA‑regulated products. Customer service experience. Safety Requirements Must wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. Work frequently in environments where biohazards may be present (hospitals, service centers, depots). Compensation The salary range for this position is $48,000–$66,000.
