Next Horizon Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is passionate about enhancing patients' quality of life through rehabilitation. Work Environment

Our rehabilitation clinic operates within a vibrant hospital setting, fostering a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care. You will work alongside experienced Physical Therapists and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Our scheduled operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs. This role allows for direct engagement with patients in a supportive and dynamic environment, where teamwork and communication are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and executing customized treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall physical functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities, ensuring exercises are performed correctly to reduce pain and promote healing.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, offering guidance on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications.
• Administer treatment modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists, to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking key metrics such as strength improvements and functionality, to ensure effective treatment adjustments can be made.
• Prepare treatment areas, maintain cleanliness, and organize equipment and supplies to facilitate therapy sessions efficiently.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes for patients.
• Provide emotional support to patients, creating a motivating and compassionate environment that encourages their healing journey.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards and ensuring respect for patient rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will provide care to a varied patient demographic, including children, elderly individuals, athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, and post-surgical patients. You will adapt treatments to meet the unique needs of each patient, promoting recovery in a person-centered manner that respects individual goals and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical therapeutic interventions associated with physical therapy.
• Proficient in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under appropriate supervision.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
• Kind, patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation objectives.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans for diverse patient populations, tailoring interventions to address individual circumstances.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation clinic or hospital environment is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
