Project Executive - Data Center Construction Location: Texas Flowtec Group is partnering with a data center owner-operator to appoint a Project Executive to lead construction delivery across a rapidly scaling region. Our client operates five live data centers in the region with a team of thirty, and breaks ground on three further builds in 2027 carrying more than 400 megawatts of new capacity. This is not a senior project management role with a bigger title on it - you will run the region's construction organisation, own the team, and be the person executive leadership comes to when cost, schedule or capacity readiness is in question. What You'll Be Doing: Owning construction delivery across the regional portfolio, from pre-construction through turnover to operations Leading and growing a thirty-strong construction team - hiring, developing and holding standard as the region scales Carrying budget and schedule accountability across 400+ MW of new capacity Selecting, contracting and managing general contractors, trade partners and vendors, and holding them to performance Driving pre-construction planning, constructability review and procurement strategy on three 2027 ground-up builds Coordinating commissioning and delivering a clean handover into the operations organisation Reporting to executive leadership on cost, schedule, risk and capacity readiness Managing change, claims and contract administration across the regional programme Partnering with design, engineering, operations and supply chain to keep the build programme aligned to capacity commitments Owning safety and quality performance across every active site in the region What We're Looking For: Ten years of data center-specific mission critical construction experience - this is the filter, not ten years of commercial construction with a data center at the end of it Proven leadership of construction teams rather than individual projects - you have hired, built and run a group Delivery of ground-up data center builds at scale, ideally across multiple sites Fluency with MEP, electrical distribution and mechanical systems at critical-load level Strong working knowledge of commissioning sequence and what a concurrent maintainability requirement does to a schedule Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field The credibility to hold a general contractor to account and the judgement to know when to push and when to solve Highly organised, with superior written and verbal communication at executive level Ability to travel across the region as the 2027 builds ramp Why This Role: Genuine regional ownership.
