Project Executive

A 60+ year-old national design-builder is looking for a Project Executive to lead major and complex projects across the U.S. The business operates across data centers, advanced technology, manufacturing, food & beverage and distribution, with design, engineering, construction, specialty equipment and automation capabilities under one platform. The Role Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of $200M+ projects or multiple complex projects. Lead project execution strategy across construction, design, engineering and MEP teams. Own project financial performance, P&L, schedule, risk and commercial outcomes. Act as the primary customer contact, managing senior relationships and resolving issues before they reach executive escalation. Oversee procurement, subcontracting, change management and cost control to protect project profitability. Develop and maintain master schedules, identify potential delays and drive corrective action. Establish project risk and communication plans across owners, subcontractors, consultants and internal teams. Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, APMs and other project staff. What We're Looking For Relevant construction experience, with a proven record leading large, complex projects. Experience of P&L accountability across multiple projects. At least 5 years managing design-build or hard-bid projects. Experience across contracting models including lump sum, GMP and cost-plus / construction management. Strong understanding of contracts, project financials, estimating, scheduling and risk management. Experience with mission critical, data center, manufacturing, industrial or other complex projects is highly relevant. A track record of improving project profitability and developing successful project teams. The Opportunity This is a senior project leadership position with responsibility well beyond day-to-day project management. You’ll have a seat across strategy, commercial performance, client relationships and project execution, while leading the teams responsible for delivering the work.
