Position Overview

BodySync PT is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic and patient-centric team in Islip, New York. In this full-time role, you will provide essential therapeutic services in an onsite rehabilitation facility, dedicated to improving the quality of life for our patients. You will enjoy a structured Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced work-life dynamic while making a significant difference in the lives of those you treat.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to assess patient conditions, including obtaining patient history, performing physical assessments, and reviewing relevant diagnostic tests.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and evidence-based practices, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.

• Administer diverse physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and modalities tailored to individual patient needs.

• Regularly monitor and document the progress of patients, ensuring accurate records in compliance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations.

• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, rehabilitation goals, and strategies for injury prevention and wellness enhancement.

• Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to optimize individualized patient care and ensure seamless treatment protocols.

• Stay abreast of current best practices and advancements in physical therapy, participating in ongoing professional development activities and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be treating patients with orthopedic issues, including pre and post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with individuals who are eager to regain full function and return to their daily activities, enhancing their quality of life through targeted therapy and compassion.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting; however, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are also encouraged to apply.

• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities, with a commitment to continuing education and professional growth.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from candidates with various levels of experience, preference will be given to those with a proven track record in outpatient orthopedic practices. Experience in utilizing advanced therapeutic modalities and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
