Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our well-appointed outpatient office in Woodbridge, Virginia. You will be collaborating closely with two other experienced physical therapists, supported by a warm and friendly administrative team. Our clinic operates primarily from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate personal needs. We utilize the Athena Health EMR system for accurate patient documentation and streamlined workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine and tailor individualized treatment plans that meet the specific needs and goals of each patient.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions lasting 40 minutes each, allowing time for detailed interaction and progress evaluation.
• Employ diverse treatment techniques to improve patient mobility, strength, and functionality, applying approaches that diminish reliance on medications and exploratory surgeries.
• Craft and implement customized fitness and wellness programs aligned with each patient's rehabilitation goals to promote long-term health benefits.
• Motivate patients during therapy sessions to ensure optimal engagement and active participation in restoring their physical capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive patient support across the health continuum.
• Continuously document patient progress accurately, updating care plans as necessary and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves a diverse range of patients, including active athletes and individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries or surgeries. We focus on building strength, enhancing balance, improving mobility, and restoring function to help our patients achieve personal milestones in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A valid Virginia State license to practice physical therapy is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MS or DPT) will be prioritized.
• Two or more years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a diverse range of patient personalities effectively.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest treatment methodologies in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with sports medicine patients and utilizing evidence-based practices to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Proficiency in employing modern physical therapy techniques, equipment, and digital documentation systems.

Compensation and Benefits
