Schedule: Thursday – Sunday
Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Estimated Annual Compensation: Approximately $95,000 – $125,000+, based on 40–50 hours per week, including regular overtime opportunities.

Benefits: Health insurance, PTO, sick days, 401(k) with employer match, and two performance bonuses per year.

Position Overview

A private family in the West Village is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their established household team in maintaining an impeccably run 7-story luxury townhouse.

This is a highly formal residence where exceptional attention to detail, organization, and consistency are essential. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team that includes another Housekeeper, Laundress, Chef, and House Manager to ensure the home is maintained to museum-quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a polished professional who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in their work, and understands the expectations of white-glove private service.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the residence, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Care for luxury furnishings, marble, hardwood floors, fine artwork, antiques, and other delicate surfaces
• Follow established household cleaning protocols using high-end products and equipment
• Assist with laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care as needed
• Maintain closets, guest rooms, and common areas in an organized, guest-ready condition
• Work collaboratively with the household team to ensure seamless daily operations
• Follow daily task lists and household schedules efficiently
• Assist with deep cleaning, seasonal projects, guest arrivals, and special events
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a formal private residence
• Strong knowledge of museum-quality cleaning techniques and the care of fine furnishings and luxury finishes
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest housekeeping standards
• Experience working as part of a fully staffed household
• Professional, polished, and service-oriented demeanor
• Flexible schedule with availability for occasional overtime
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional, punctual, and highly reliable
• Valid U.S. work authorization
• English required; Spanish is a plus
