Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract) Location: Boca Raton, FL Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (In‑Office) About the Role We are a thriving, family‑owned power infrastructure and utility solutions company in Boca Raton. We need a sharp, numbers‑loving Accounts Payable Specialist to keep our financial engine running smoothly. Ideal Candidate Profile The Essentials: High school diploma or GED. A degree in Accounting or Finance is a bonus but not required. The Experience: 2–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience. Background in construction, telecom, utilities, or project‑based job costing is highly desirable. The Tech Stack: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or SAP is preferred. The Vibe: Highly organized, details‑focused, and comfortable maintaining clean filing systems. Key Responsibilities Own the AP pipeline: Review, code, and post day‑to‑day accounts payable transactions with perfect accuracy. Vendor Relations: Manage the AP inbox, respond to inquiries, vet W‑9s, and process Release of Liens. Credit Card Wrangling: Track and reconcile company credit card transactions for ~50 employees. Excel Wizardry: Maintain spreadsheet integrity using pivot tables, formulas, and data tracking. Team Collaboration: Partner with executive, operations, and project management teams to keep financial data accurate. Team Support: Assist with accounts receivable, invoice support, and month‑end reconciliations. Skills & Qualifications Accounts Payable Basic Accounts Receivable Purchase Orders Coding/Batching QuickBooks Invoices Vendor Management Reconciliation General Ledger Month‑End Close W‑9 Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Experienced level. Benefits & Compensation Compensation: $23–$25 per hour, Shift: First, Work hours: 8 AM–5 PM.
