SpringLeaf Healthcare Counseling Center is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. Work Environment

As a fully remote position, this role offers flexibility while maintaining the supportive atmosphere characteristic of the SpringLeaf culture. Our mental health counselors collaborate closely in a virtual environment that prioritizes open communication, professional development, and mutual support. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs, ensuring that therapists are accessible during key times for clients. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments that consider patients’ cultural contexts, helping to create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific needs of each patient, with a focus on culturally relevant practices.
• Facilitate a range of therapy sessions, including individual, family, and group therapy, aimed at addressing various mental health issues and enhancing resilience.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating a calm and effective response.
• Guide patients and their families by educating them about mental health conditions, various treatment options, and relevant community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines to protect patient privacy.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to continuously improve and refine therapeutic practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, with particular attention to cultural considerations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; however, a Master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Maryland is essential.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of cultural competence in therapy practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations.
• Knowledge of therapeutic methodologies and a commitment to utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting and engage with patients via telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community health settings or outpatient psychiatry.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience providing services to LGBTQ+ and immigrant populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits include:
