This position is based in our surgical center located in Huntington, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of presenting dermatological problems by reviewing patient medical histories and conducting necessary examinations.
• Diagnose skin conditions and develop tailored treatment plans that align with patient needs and goals.
• Prescribe medications and create courses of treatment in accordance with state regulations and your clinical training.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff to address patient inquiries and follow-up on treatment progress.
• Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to educate patients about their conditions and treatment options.
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and standards to maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard health information.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in dermatology and enhance your clinical skills.
• Support nursing and administrative staff in managing patient care questions, concerns, and follow-up appointments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a diverse range of individuals, from adolescents to seniors, seeking care for various dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and cosmetic concerns. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each patient feels heard, valued, and confident in their treatment plan.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience working specifically in dermatology.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate patient concerns and develop effective treatment options independently.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care through empathy and thorough communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant healthcare software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in both medical and surgical dermatology practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 200,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
