This role offers a competitive annual salary plus a Sales Incentive Plan and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. The starting annual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and/or skillset. Summary: The Regional Sales Consultant is expected to retain and expand assigned accounts in their geographic area. They will serve as the key day‑to‑day customer contact. Consultants promote and sell Signode’s Insulated Transport Products used in multiple industries. This position is based on the Central region. Territory size will range from $5.0-6.0 million in sales volume. Essential Functions: Sells through a consultative and solutions‑driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to our customers. Manage existing customers as end‑to‑end seller. Meet or exceed sales goals by utilizing all Signode products and services. Owns renewal and expansion selling (cross‑sell and up‑sell). Create and maintain account plans for key accounts. Pull through national account sales at the local level. Acts as main point of contact for customers regarding ongoing business requirements and issues. Resolves customer inquiries, problems, and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction. Maintain up‑to‑date sales opportunities and customer records in accordance with company instructions. Provide industry insight to peers, including product management, product development and equipment sales teams. Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing market opportunities and competitive area information. Collaborate with internal teams on account management, projects, and department initiatives. Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency. Participate in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve , upgrade performance, experience career development and advancement. Assist the A/R department collecting past due balances and ensure your accounts are in good standing. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in STEM, Business, Sales or similar field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 3 to 5+ years in consultative sales experience, industrial sales experience is a must. Must live in, IL, IN or OH – travel overnight – up to 50%. Prefer knowledge of Signode’s Insulated Transport Products and applications. Ability to use a CRM and read dashboards on PowerBi, with general MS Office proficiency. Strong Interpersonal skills to drive current customers and prospect engagement. Functional Success Drivers: These competencies are what we require for an individual to be successful in this role.
