Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS/ALS Must-Have: - Time management skills - Critical thinking Description: Providing high-quality care to patients for over 50 years. Recognizing the unique needs of each patient. Continuously improving processes to better serve the community. Promising to deliver the highest quality of service and treatment. Focused on patient-centered care and faith-based philosophies. Offering a broad range of specialties including cardiology, cancer care, and orthopedics. Unit Information: Number of Beds - 32 Staffing for Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 patient care technicians, and 7-8 registered nurses. Staffing for Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 patient care technicians, and 7 registered nurses. Patient Ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5. Equipment includes walkers, kangaroo pumps, PCAs, chest tubes, ostomies, PEG tubes, NG tubes, and Foley catheters. EMR system is Meditech. Typical Procedures Performed: Airways - Tracheostomy and laryngectomy Bowel - Small bowel resection, lower anterior resection, ostomy placements and reversals, fistula repairs, hernia repairs, Nissen fundoplications, etc. Pulmonary - Bronchoscopy, lobectomies, thoracoscopies, wedge resections, chest tube placement Surgical procedures including mastectomies and thyroidectomies Routine care for drains, TPN, and tube feeds Telemetry Best Personality Fit: Team player Positive attitude Adaptable Unit Guidelines/Policies: Shift starts promptly at designated times. Collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams. Focus on patient hygiene and activity. Communication with patients is emphasized. Infection prevention practices are critical. Colorectal care management includes order sets and checklists. Compliance with documentation is mandatory. Rotating weekends are required; no on-call shifts.
