Litigation Paralegal

Role Description This full-time Litigation Paralegal role is a hybrid position allowing for one WFH day after a 90 day probation. The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation, including organizing case files, managing discovery, and preparing hearing and trial materials. Day-to-day tasks include handling of discovery, medical record retrieval and summarization, subpoena prep, file organization, large volume document indexing, communications with clients and other lawyers. Preparing individuals for depositions and other hearings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review for litigation matters.
• Candidates should possess skills in Legal Research, including use of online research tools and citation checking.
• Candidates should possess experience preparing and managing Pleadings and Motions in state and/or federal courts.
• Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in civil defense or trial practice.
• Knowledge of court rules, e-filing procedures, and litigation timelines in California.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
• Proficiency with legal case management software, document management systems, and standard office applications.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent education and experience; a bachelor’s degree is beneficial.
