At BEAR Construction , we're looking for an HR Coordinator who's organized, curious, people-focused, and ready to learn.

You'll be part of an HR team supporting a fast-moving construction company, and you'll get exposure to the employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding through benefits, compliance, HR technology, employee engagement and more. No two days in HR are exactly alike, but you'll help us:

• Coordinate recruiting for both office and field positions
• Review resumes, assist with candidate screening and coordinate interviews
• Help create a great candidate experience from first conversation through offer
• Coordinate onboarding and help welcome new employees to BEAR
• Support new-hire orientation
• Assist employees with benefits questions and enrollment
• Keep employee records and HR systems accurate and organized
• Assist with HR compliance, including I-9 administration, policy acknowledgments and record retention
• Track training, certifications and safety onboarding
• Support HR reporting, dashboards and workforce metrics
• Help coordinate employee events, wellness initiatives and appreciation activities
• Support company communications and employee engagement
• Look for ways to make our HR processes simpler, smarter and better
• Jump into special HR projects where you'll have the opportunity to learn something new.

At the Coordinator level, you'll build the fundamentals: HR administration, onboarding, employee records, recruiting coordination, HR systems, compliance tracking, training administration and employee support.

As your knowledge and capabilities grow, the next levels of BEAR's framework expand into areas such as recruiting ownership, benefits, compliance, performance management, employee development, engagement, workforce analytics and manager training.

What we're looking for:

• An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, Psychology or a related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of HR, recruiting, administrative or customer-service experience preferred
• Experience working with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Construction experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfort with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
• HRIS, ATS or onboarding-system experience is a plus.
