Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our onsite rehabilitation center, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation aides. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions to inform personalized treatment plans.
• Design and implement rehabilitation programs focusing on mobility, strength training, and pain management.
• Engage in clinical teaching, providing mentorship and guidance to interns and other staff members.
• Prepare and deliver at least one in-service training session annually, contributing to staff educational development.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to set measurable goals and monitor patient progress effectively.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide treatment options, continually adapting plans based on patient feedback and recovery rates.
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will interact with a diverse demographic, which will require you to tailor your communication and treatment approaches based on each patient's unique background and recovery goals. This role demands the ability to build rapport and trust with patients, ensuring they feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally with a focus on orthopedic care.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey treatment plans and engage with patients.
• A collaborative attitude towards working in a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
