Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs, establishing a clear basis for therapeutic interventions.

• Provide individual counseling sessions focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management, adapting techniques to meet each client's unique circumstances.

• Facilitate couples and family therapy sessions aiming to improve relationship dynamics and communication, and address conflict resolution strategies.

• Design personalized treatment plans with measurable goals, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to track each client's progress effectively.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges, employing techniques to stabilize and assist clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, effective coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their overall support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards within the field.

• Uphold ethical standards and legal requirements that govern counseling practices, focusing on maintaining the confidentiality and informed consent of clients at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
