Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients struggling with mental health issues influenced by cancer, utilizing the DSM-5 and other relevant instruments to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of treatment records, progress notes, and reports in adherence to department procedures and regulatory standards.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that care objectives are culturally competent and reflect the specific needs of the patient population.

• Implement therapeutic interventions and continuously evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to optimize mental health outcomes.

• Act as a liaison between patients and additional support services, fostering interagency collaboration to ensure seamless access to comprehensive care.

• Mentor students and interns, sharing expertise and providing educational support to cultivate the next generation of mental health professionals.

• Participate in clinical supervision and peer reviews, offering valuable feedback and guidance to colleagues to foster an environment focused on continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with individuals and families affected by cancer, addressing the unique psychological and emotional challenges they encounter. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• At least two years of relevant experience in outpatient mental health services, preferably with a focus on oncology or chronic illness management.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in school-based mental health programs or therapeutic environments involving pediatric populations would be advantageous. Familiarity with treatment modalities relevant to health-related trauma is also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
