Technical Sales Representative (Cleveland)

Position Summary
We’re seeking a results-driven Technical Sales Representative to manage and grow an established sales territory. You’ll support existing accounts and pursue new business opportunities, providing technical expertise and customized solutions to clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of chemistry, manufacturing, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a territory of existing accounts by providing ongoing support and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Develop new business through cold calling, referrals, trade shows, and digital leads.
- Serve as a technical resource for customers, advising on product selection, process improvements, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with customers to implement new chemical products and systems.
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations, quotes, and proposals.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Prior experience with chemicals or working in manufacturing.
- Technical sales or applications experience, ideally in surface finishing, plating, pretreatment, or industrial chemicals.
- Prior understanding of electroplating, anodizing, conversion coatings, or industrial water treatment processes.
