Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress and recovery.

• Educate and empower clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and situations.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care solutions for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic interventions.

• Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines by maintaining accurate and confidential client records.

• Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development workshops to improve your skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will be responsible for providing therapy to a diverse group of clients, including community members from various socioeconomic backgrounds, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role will significantly impact the emotional and mental well-being of those who often face significant barriers to accessing mental health services.
