Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW at Fresno Mental Therapy Services, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the mental health status, strengths, and needs of patients and their families within the hospice setting.

• Implementing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) specifically tailored for individuals in hospice care.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and chaplains, to develop and execute coordinated care plans.

• Assisting patients and families in understanding complex diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management, while providing emotional support during this sensitive time.

• Providing individual and family therapy sessions, actively utilizing therapeutic modalities and engaging techniques to enhance coping mechanisms and emotional well-being.

• Facilitating therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions that empower both patients and their caregivers to navigate end-of-life challenges.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that align with the patients’ goals and preferences to enhance their quality of life.

• Advocating for patients in navigating the healthcare system, ensuring that their rights and needs are recognized and met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving hospice patients and their families. Our patients typically face terminal illnesses and require specialized support that addresses both their mental health and emotional well-being. Through your expertise, you will help patients cope with anxiety, grief, and any psychological distress associated with their conditions, fostering an environment of hope and dignity in their final life stages.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, starting from USD 80,000 up to USD 104,000 annually, which reflects the candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition to a base salary, we offer a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
