Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role allows for flexibility while maintaining a connected work environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their psychological status and determine the need for therapeutic interventions. Utilize standardized tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to accurately assess and diagnose mental health conditions.

• Create individualized treatment plans that reflect the diverse cultural backgrounds and specific needs of the patient population, with particular emphasis on those affected by cancer.

• Provide regular interventions and therapeutic strategies aimed at improving mental health, continually assessing patient progress and adjusting care plans accordingly.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment records and clinical notes in line with regulatory standards, utilizing current technological tools to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Serve as a crucial link between patients and various treatment providers, coordinating referrals and establishing solid working relationships with other healthcare professionals.

• Contribute to the development of future clinicians by providing mentorship and educational oversight for students, interns, and volunteers, fostering an environment of learning.

• Engage in peer-to-peer review and clinical collaboration sessions directed by clinical supervisors to enhance team capabilities and ensure high standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be skilled at engaging with a patient population heavily affected by cancer-related diagnoses. You will provide emotional and psychological support, working closely with patients to navigate their mental health challenges and connect them with necessary resources, thereby enabling them to cope effectively during a particularly vulnerable time.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid Arizona State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
