Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and co-develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) during virtual sessions.

• Engage with case managers, psychiatrists, and healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique situation.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during acute mental health episodes, employing skills to de-escalate situations immediately and effectively.

• Participate in community outreach efforts, such as workshops or webinars, aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will come from diverse backgrounds, representing various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic factors. As a mental health counselor at Privia, you will address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and more. Your capacity to offer culturally competent care will be essential in effectively meeting the needs of all clients.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.

• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
\n
• Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills necessary for developing strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Ability to practice cultural sensitivity, navigating the nuances of different backgrounds to provide effective support and care.

• Strong organizational skills to manage documentation accurately and within deadlines, ensuring compliance with policies and requirements.

Preferred Experience\n

• While not required, experience in a telehealth setting is a plus, allowing you to hit the ground running.

Compensation and Benefits\n
