Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCPC, you will undertake a wide range of responsibilities that are essential for the mental health and emotional development of our clients. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Assisting primary care providers in recognizing and managing mental health and psychosocial issues, functioning as a vital member of the primary care team.

• Conducting comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, and recommending treatment goals to primary care providers.

• Providing brief, focused interventions to clients needing immediate mental health support.
\n
• Monitoring patient progress and coordinating services related to behavioral health care, while maintaining thorough documentation of each client's journey in their treatment chart.

• Developing relapse prevention plans and helping at-risk patients to maintain stability in their functioning.
\n
• Advising primary care providers on patient suitability for primary care vs. specialty mental health services.
\n
• Implementing follow-up assessments to determine patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on supporting individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges across a broad demographic spectrum. As part of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will be engaged with clients from various backgrounds, each presenting unique life experiences and mental health conditions. You will work in collaboration with primary care providers to ensure that all patients receive holistic care tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

• Solid understanding of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and family therapy methodologies.

• Proficient knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses, psychodynamics, and behavioral therapy techniques.

• Ability to evaluate individual patient needs and assess the efficacy of provided care.

• Strong communication skills to establish effective relationships with patients and fellow healthcare professionals.

• Capability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports as required.

• Capacity to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between USD 87,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
