Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical techniques to inform treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs across various specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to maximize patient outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical assessment and patient feedback.
• Provide therapeutic care within the facility, employing techniques tailored to specific patient needs to achieve targeted functional improvements.
• Consult with patients and their caregivers, delivering education on treatment protocols, self-management strategies, and preventative practices.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Meet or exceed established performance metrics, contributing to team goals and overall business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and acute pain syndromes. Your approach will emphasize patient-centered care, building strong therapeutic relationships that empower patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Valued as part of their healing process, you will regularly engage with patients and their families to ensure they understand the treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active state licensure in Physical Therapy, or eligibility to obtain such licensure in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by proficient computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Strong ability to establish rapport with patients to facilitate trust and motivate compliance with therapeutic protocols.
• A steadfast commitment to professional development and clinical excellence.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, but not required.
• Two (2) years of experience in an outpatient setting, ideally in a rehabilitation or sports medicine context.
• Experience in team-based care models, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
• Current CPR Certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
