Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions using standardized tests to develop customized treatment plans.
• Implement and direct physical therapy treatments focused on pain relief, muscle function restoration, and overall performance improvement.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective execution of treatment plans, while also observing and reporting on patient progress.
• Administer manual therapies, exercise programs, and physical agent modalities to optimize patient recovery.
• Conduct home evaluations to recommend modifications that enhance patient independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences and contributing to comprehensive care plans.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy regimens, the use of rehabilitation devices, and strategies for ongoing care after treatment concludes.
• Maintain timely communication with referring physicians and case managers regarding changes in patient condition and required adjustments to care plans.
• Participate in staff training and development activities to enhance practice methodologies and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), with a valid state license to practice.

Compensation and Benefits
