Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions focused on adult clients in an outpatient pain clinic setting, addressing psychological struggles stemming from workplace injuries.

• Facilitate weekly psychoeducational classes, empowering clients with knowledge and coping strategies for managing their conditions.
\n
• Conduct brief therapeutic interventions for individuals in the Functional Recovery Program (FRP), closely monitoring and evaluating their clinical progress throughout their healing journey.
\n
• Carry out thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and challenges.
\n
• Provide evidence-based clinical care informed by contemporary best practices in pain psychology, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.
\n
• Coordinate referrals to additional therapeutic modalities within the clinic to ensure a multifaceted approach to care when needed.
\n
• Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document all client interactions and therapeutic interventions accurately, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our LCSW role is to support clients who have experienced work-related injuries and are facing psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain. By understanding the interconnectedness of physical and mental health, you will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for our clients while helping them navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• An active California License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) is mandatory to perform duties in compliance with state regulations.

• At least two years of relevant experience providing psychological services, particularly with knowledge in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions.

• Strong assessment and treatment skills for chronic pain patients, combined with a thorough understanding of the psychological complexities involved.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for effective client engagement and documentation.

• Ability to build strong rapport with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and team members, fostering a collaborative therapeutic environment.

• Demonstrated sound judgment and ethical consideration when working with diverse patient populations.
