Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide high-quality psychotherapy services to patients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges related to terminal illness.

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to understand each patient’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the requirements of each patient.

• Maintain thorough and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all records are current and accessible.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to provide holistic and patient-centered care.

• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to improve treatment effectiveness and foster professional development.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and community resources available for ongoing support.

• Keep abreast of advances in psychotherapy and mental health treatment to continually enhance clinical practice and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on hospice patients and their families, who often experience grief, anxiety, and depression stemming from terminal diagnoses. You will support this population through empathetic listening, validation of their feelings, and encouraging open communication about their end-of-life concerns. Your role is pivotal in creating a safe, supportive environment for patients and their loved ones during a challenging time.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
