Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work setting, which provides flexibility while ensuring consistent support for students and families. As a member of our team, you will work within the framework of a virtual school environment, facilitating your access to students and their families from anywhere in Trenton, New Jersey. You will also engage regularly with school personnel to strategize and implement effective intervention plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, including assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

• Collaborate with educational staff to create and execute integrated care plans tailored to the individual needs of students, ensuring links to community resources and services.
\n
• Conduct thorough, evidence-based screenings and assessments to evaluate client needs and monitor progress, utilizing appropriate methodologies for various age groups.

• Facilitate crisis intervention efforts, responding to urgent mental health situations with professionalism and care.
\n
• Maintain accurate, timely completion of client documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and reports, in compliance with ethical guidelines and organizational policies.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and remain informed about the latest practices in mental health care.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to committees aimed at refining service delivery and addressing gaps in care.

• Provide on-call support as needed to handle urgent situations after program hours.
\n
• Identify and report any concerning situations regarding client safety, working to maintain a secure and supportive environment for all students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on students in school settings who face substantial challenges related to mental health. This includes crafting individualized treatment strategies that consider the unique backgrounds and life experiences of students, thereby allowing for tailored approaches that encourage lasting change and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required, with a current LCSW license in New Jersey.

• Approximately two years of clinical experience working directly with children and adolescents in educational or community settings is essential.

• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, treatment methodologies, and crisis management specifically tailored to youth populations.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse clients and engage effectively with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems to document client interactions and treatment progress accurately.

• A demonstrated commitment to promoting equity in healthcare access, particularly for under-served populations.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
